DAY SIX

The pimples on my chin area are really bothering me. I'm not used to having so many unsightly pimples (with bright white centres) on my face at a time. I have noticed that today the cluster seems to look a little better than it did yesterday. Some of the pimples are shrinking in size and I have a feeling by the end of next week they will be gone. I lost patience and popped a deep cyst that was located beside my ear. It didn't seem to speed up its disappearance and it still feels as though there is infection underneath the skin in that area. My skin is quite dry, and I am trying to avoid wearing face makeup to let it breath. I have noticed the smaller headless little bumps that were around my chin are slowly disappearing. We will see what tomorrow brings. Until tomorrow. 

DAY FIVE

My skin feels angry. It is red, and stinging when I put on my nightly CeraVe moisturizer. A few more pimples have started joining the cluster on the right side of my chin area. I am getting a little frustrated. My face is also very dry which is heightened when wearing foundation. The edges of my nose are burning. I have started applying Vaseline on either side of my nose to try moisturizing it that way. I feel a lot more cysts developing around my jawline but all of them are headless and oh-so painful. So far, nothing positive to say. Until tomorrow.

DAY FOUR

 As promised, I have uploaded a photo of my face with makeup so that you guys can see the dryness and coverage. This is also for contrast, since you all see me post-face washing and pre-bed.
 As you can see, there are flaky bits beside my chin on the left side of my face. This is also the "clear" side and the one I hope strangers focus on when interacting with me...
 This is the scary pimple patch on the right side of my face (with foundation and concealer over top). There is no makeup in the world that would cover this hot mess. It's quite depressing to look at but am hoping it will get better over time while using epiduo. I should also note that my foundation BURNED while applying it in the morning.

This is the pimple patch without makeup. It is red, sore and VERY tempting to go on a popping spree. But I won't, because I promised. There are also big cysts developing along my jawline area that will surely sprout any time now. It might be relevant that Aunt Flo will be visiting tomorrow so that could be worsening the acne. When I apply my lotion it burns my face, and throughout the day my skin feels tight and uncomfortable.

DAY THREE

The right hand side of my chin area has started breaking out (which I anticipated). The area around my nose is feeling raw and sore. I will try to be careful tomorrow while applying it to stay away from my nose. There is no scarring improvement, but I do notice the first pimple in the cluster that appeared in day 2 is slowly shrinking. A pimple like this (without me clawing it) would take an average of a week to get to this stage. The sides of my nose are still tender, but I have been diligently applying Vaseline around them to keep them protected. 

My skin has been flaking in areas around my chin (lightly), but this is nothing that if worrisome or bothersome for me. I haven't had to go out yet, but will comment on and photograph the look of my skin (and its dryness) with foundation on it in a later post. The sides of my nose are still tender, but I have been diligently applying Vaseline around them to keep them protected.

DAY TWO

Day two has proved to be one of little importance. A pimple has sprouted from my skin area (that is rather large and painful). Last night while applying the Epiduo, I felt a tingling sensation for the better part of an hour. 

After doing diligent research, I had read that this is quite a normal finding in most users. I can feel a massive breakout coming. The pimples that generally hang out around my chin area are getting "hot and bothered". They are becoming slightly inflamed and ready to make their grand entrance. Until tomorrow, folks!

DAY ONE: A New Hope

Myself, like many of you are suffering with acne. Mine seems to be of the hormonal variety due to a progesterone IUD device.

I am unsure about where this gel will take me, but am hoping it will be on the path to the clear and beautiful skin I once had. I will be posting daily videos and commenting on the overall condition of my skin as time goes on. I have never posted a picture of my acne-riddled face without the security blanket of foundation (which really doesn't hide it), but am hoping it will be inspiring those to be not ashamed of something that is out of your control.

Acne doesn't define you, it is just an unfortunate set of lumps that somehow decided to hang out on your face. So now that the introduction has been made, lets dive into day one!

DAY ONE:

This will be a "before" photograph of the condition of my skin. There is scarring, and whiteheads, and blackheads, OH MY! My skin is generally dry/combinations with oily areas around my t-zone (and eyelids oddly). I have deep-seeded cystic acne all along my jawline, but is more heavily present on my jaw close to my ears (where my hair usually covers, phew).

 I have patches of these stubborn tiny pimples without heads in either side of my chin. No matter how many times I pop them, they always come back and bring friends. My nose is littered with blackheads (which doesn't seem to bother me much), and the odd patch of whiteheads will appear on either side of my nose from time.

I have always been a notorious skin-picker, hence the scarring. For the purpose of our experiment with Epiduo/Tactupump I will refrain from popping to see the speed at which this gel zaps my skin-pals.
